-Tidak ada slot untuk penyimpanan eksternal, sehingga pengguna tidak bisa lagi menambah kapasitas penyimpanan
-Dengan harga hampir delapan juta rupiah, ia masih menggunakan ditenagai dengan prosesor inti ganda atau dual core dengan kecepatan 1,5 Ghz, (Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon), padahal smartphone dengan rentang harga tersebut telah mengusung quad core.
-Handphone ini menggunakan slot MicroSIM, yang memiliki ukuran lebih kecil dari mini sim yang umumnya ada di Indonesia. Jadi untuk bisa dimasukkan dalam Nokia Lumia 1020, sim card harus dipotong dulu dengan pemotong microSIM
